Salesforce Outlook Integration Error When Custom Login Flow is Enabled

게시 일자: May 6, 2026
상세 설명

When a custom login flow is configured for Outlook Integration users in Salesforce, users may encounter errors when attempting to log in from the Outlook client. The login flow may enter an infinite loop or fail to complete because the Outlook Integration client cannot properly handle the submit action within the Lightning Login Flow framework.
Users may see the following error:
"This page has an error. You might just need to refresh it. Action failed: salesforceIdentity:lightningLoginFlow$controller$statusChange [Unable to get property 'Submit' of undefined or null reference] Callback failed: serviceComponent://ui.interaction.runtime.components.controllers.FlowRuntimeController/ACTION$executeAction Failing descriptor: {salesforceIdentity:lightningLoginFlow$controller$statusChange}"
OR
If a user is able to log in successfully, they may see the following error when they relaunch the Outlook Integration panel while scrolling through their emails in the Outlook Desktop client:
"The app can take some time to load. You can wait, try closing the app and opening it again, or clear your settings and log in again."
Outlook Web App (Outlook on the Web) behavior: Users with a custom login flow configured may be able to successfully authenticate to the Outlook Integration when using Outlook on the Web. However, users will need to log in again when their current browser session expires or when a new browser session is started.

솔루션

Salesforce Outlook Integration does not support custom login flows. When a custom login flow is configured for Outlook Integration users, the Outlook Integration client is unable to properly handle the flow's submit action in the Lightning Login Flow framework, causing the login process to loop or fail to complete.

Workaround

If users are unable to log in to Outlook Integration due to a custom login flow, disable the custom login flow for the affected user profiles. Removing the custom login flow from profiles used by Outlook Integration users will allow those users to log in successfully.
To help users remain logged in to the Outlook Integration and reduce the need for repeated authentication, Pin the Outlook Integration panel in the Outlook Desktop client. Pinning the panel keeps it open and reduces session timeouts.

Note for Outlook Web App Users

For users accessing Outlook Integration via Outlook Web App (Outlook on the Web), custom login flows may allow initial authentication to complete. However, users will be required to authenticate again when their browser session expires or when a new session is started. Disabling the custom login flow remains the recommended resolution for consistent Outlook Integration behavior across both Outlook Desktop and Outlook Web App.
