Disable Email Capture in Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) Configuration

By default, Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) adds emails from users' connected accounts to the Activity Timeline of related Salesforce records. 

If users are reporting that emails from connected accounts are automatically appearing on related Salesforce records' Activity Timelines, an admin can disable this behavior in the EAC configuration. This affects all users assigned to that configuration.

Ratkaisu

Disable Email Capture under Einstein Activity Capture:

  1. Log in to Salesforce.
  2. Click the gear icon and select Setup.
  3. In Quick find box search Einstein.
  4. Select Settings under Einstein Activity Capture.
  5. Select Configuration and click Edit.
  6. Click the toggle button to disable Email Capture under the Email option.


Notes:

  • Email capture is disabled for all users in the configuration.
  • It is now possible for Users with Inbox Licenses to disable email capture for Einstein Activity Capture so Inbox users can still use the sync feature of Einstein Activity Capture.
"For Inbox users, email data is still stored in Salesforce databases hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The email data is used for Inbox productivity features."
