What happens when Contacts are Imported into MobileConnect with an Unsubscribe status

When contacts are imported into MobileConnect with an 'Unsubscribe' status, should this only update the Subscription status to 'Unsubscribed'?

The Subscription status of a contact is reflected by the User Interface fields 'Opt In Status' and 'Opt Out Status' within the MobileConnect Subscriptions area of a contact.
Solución

The application will make two changes:
 

  1. Updates the MobileConnect Subscriptions Attribute Set
    1. Sets the Opt In Status to 'Not Opted In'
    2. Sets the Opt Out Status to 'Opted Out'
  2. Updates the MobileConnect Demographics Attribute Set of the contact to 'Inactive'.

You can review these changes in the following locations of your Marketing Cloud account.
 

  • Contact Builder | Search for your Contact | Open the Contact Profile | Attributes tab | MobileConnect Demographics attribute set
