Public Trailhead Reporting with Salesforce Identity for Enablement

If you have created an enablement site (formerly a myTrailhead subdomain) and already enabled Salesforce Identity for Enablement (an authentication provider that uses Salesforce credentials to access your enablement site) as your authentication provider, public Trailhead activity isn't synced in this org.

Ratkaisu

Since Salesforce Identity for Enablement prevents public Trailhead activity from syncing to your enablement org, you need to set up Trail Tracker in a separate standard Salesforce org to track public Trailhead badges and progress. This workaround allows you to maintain reporting capabilities while using Salesforce Identity for Enablement.

Before you begin, complete these prerequisites.

If Salesforce Identity for Enablement is already enabled and you need to report on public Trailhead badges, complete these steps.

  1. Install the Trail Tracker app in another Salesforce org that does not have Salesforce Identity for Enablement enabled.
  2. Add users to the Salesforce org
  3. Connect users to Trailhead
For users with existing Trailhead accounts: have them connect their Salesforce org referenced in step 1.
For users without Trailhead accounts: Doesn't have an existing Trailhead account, have them sign up to Trailhead using their Salesforce org credentials referenced in step 1.
  4. Wait for the daily sync to occur to see learning progress.
