Common warning errors when leads fail to ingest

Julkaisupäivä: Mar 7, 2025
Kuvaus
There are several reasons why a lead will fail to ingest. This is usually represented by a warning status found in the Overview of Lead Capture.

Note: Since the error message is vague and can mean a number of different things it is best practice to start with permissions. Ensure the user who created the lead task has Admin permission to the Page where the lead form was created. Also check to ensure they have permission to download leads. There could also be a possibility that the error is due to invalid data entered for a required field or no data has been submitted.

We do recommend you check the following as one of these things is usually the problem:

  • Check if the user who created the task has Admin access to the page used to create the lead form.

  • If the lead is attributed to an ad, then the user needs access to that ad account for the ad.

  • In Facebook business manager, if lead access is customised, then lead access to the page is needed

By default, ALL page admins are able to access leads information. However if the leads access manager is activated and customised, only specific people on the list have access to leads information. Here's a help article explaining in detail how to enable and customise leads access manager via Business Manager.

  • If lead access is customised, then Salesforce Lead Capture must appear in the list of CRMs.

  • Finally, the lead must still exist. Customer can check at Facebook download manager and confirm if leads are being ingested there and they can provide the Lead ID to support to troubleshoot further.
