An Account Engagement Sandbox is inherently tied to the Salesforce Sandbox. A refresh, from Account Engagement's perspective, is essentially the same as getting a whole new Sandbox. As such, the Account Engagement Sandbox is de-provisioned and deleted when a refresh is performed.
This will not have any effect on a production Account Engagement account.
A new Account Engagement Sandbox can be provisioned from within Salesforce after the refresh is complete. As such, the Account Engagement Sandbox is de-provisioned and deleted when the Salesforce Sandbox it is connected to is refreshed. For instructions on this process, you can refer to our documentation here.
