myTrailhead Trail Tracker: Sales Enablement Badges Show Generic Trailhead Badge Icons

Udgivelsesdato: Apr 30, 2026
Beskrivelse

When viewing the Badge tab in myTrailhead Trail Tracker, generic Trailhead badge icons appear in the Badge icon field instead of the custom Sales Enablement badges that were added to Trailmaker.

Løsning

This issue occurs when Trail Tracker cannot retrieve or display the custom badge icons from your myTrailhead instance. The solution involves verifying the connection between your Salesforce org and the Trailhead platform, and ensuring badge icon URLs are properly configured. Follow these troubleshooting steps in order:
Go to the Trail Tracker Reports tab and run the Debug Logs report to view error messages that indicate which of the following issues is causing the problem.

This issue can occur because of one of the following reasons:

Activate Remote Site Settings for Trailhead Icons

The remote site settings for Trailhead Icons are not activated. Go to Settings, and Settings Quick Find box type in Remote Site. In the Remote Site Settings page, select Edit next to Trailhead_Icons and be sure the Active box has a checkmark. Changing this setting won't instantly make the icons available, but they should be visible after the next sync operation has completed.

Verify Trailhead Integration Status

The sync has stopped working (for whatever reason) between your Salesforce org & the Trailhead/Sales Enablement platform. Confirm that the integration is still operational.

Shorten Long Badge Icon URLs

The Badge icon URL is too long. Utilize a URL shortener tool such as Bitly to shorten the URL, update the Badge URL field in Trailmaker, and publish the updated module.

Reset Integration User Password

The integration user password user needs to be reset. Go to Trailhead Setup tab in Trail Tracker, update the password, and select Save.
