The ability to auto-fill prospect location data from IP address is being removed from Account Engagement. This feature automatically enriched prospect location data (city, state, etc) based on the prospect's IP address.
Salesforce is removing this feature to comply with our Privacy Statement. The auto-fill prospect location data from IP address functionality is powered by data supplied by a third-party data source. This data source is incompatible with new requirements imposed by our interpretation of the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA").
This feature was suspended on December 14, 2020. We currently do not have any timeline for when new functionality will be introduced.
This will impact all Account Engagement accounts/business units who currently have this setting enabled.
Review your existing assets, segmentations, and automations that rely on auto-filled prospect location data. Workflows built around auto-filled prospect location data could have fewer matching prospects due to this feature being unavailable.
