Purchase Additional Licenses for your Partner Business Orgs (PBO)

Date de publication: Oct 7, 2025
Description

A Partner Business Org is the org you use to run your business - check out our Partner Business Org Overview page in the Partner Community for more information. Eligible partners receive two free Enterprise Edition licenses for their Partner Business Org upon request. If additional licenses or features are needed, partners must work with a Salesforce Account Executive to make purchases. This is because Partner Business Orgs are classified as Active Orgs, and additional add-ons cannot be self-purchased initially.

Eligibility Details:
Refer to your respective program guides in the Partner Community for specific information about eligibility criteria for the partner benefits.

Important Note for First Add-On Purchases:
The Checkout App is enabled in Partner Business Orgs for self-service purchases. However, it may not work for the first add-on order. An Account Executive must create and convert a business quote for the first paid request. After this process, the Checkout App will function normally for future license or feature purchases.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I request licenses on an Active Org?

For active orgs, any additional licenses of any type should be requested through your direct Account Executive or via the org using the Checkout feature.

How do I request licenses on a Scratch Org?
We cannot add licenses or features to scratch orgs. Scratch org shape (features, licenses, etc.) can only be set via a scratch org definition file. Please refer to this helpful resource for more information: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.sfdx_dev.meta/sfdx_dev/sfdx_dev_scratch_orgs_def_file.htm

How do I request licenses directly on a Sandbox org?

We do not provision licenses directly on sandbox orgs. To use licenses in a sandbox, we first need to add them to your production org. Once added, refresh your sandbox, and the licenses will be available there.

How can I convert my Developer Edition org into an Enterprise Edition?
We cannot convert your Developer Edition org into an Enterprise Edition and vice versa.
