URL redirects from one Experience site to other

Beschreibung
There would be situations where the customer wants their users to be redirected from one experience site to other. Let's say if customer has two experience sites and they want to redirect users from site#1 to site#2.

site#1: https://testportal.force.com/s
site#2: https://testportal.force.com/connect/s

Customer has created URL redirects on the salesforce site(FMK force.com site) using the "URL Redirects" button like this.

/s >> https://testportal.force.com/connect (Permanent (301))
/s/login >> https://testportal.force.com/connect (Permanent (301))

But that doesn't redirect users. Why?
Lösung

Why URL Redirects Set on the Force.com Site Do Not Work

URL redirects configured using the "URL Redirects" button on the Force.com site level apply only to that Force.com site — they do not cascade to Experience Cloud sites hosted on the same domain. Redirects between Experience Cloud sites must be configured within Site.com Studio, which manages the URL redirect rules for each individual Experience Cloud site separately.

Steps to Configure URL Redirects in Site.com Studio

  1. In Experience Builder, click the drop-down arrow in the top left corner and select Administration.
  2. Click the Pages tab on the left side.
  3. Click Go to Site.com Studio.
  4. In Site.com Studio, expand Site Configuration and select URL Redirects.
  5. Set up your redirect rules.
  6. Click Publish Changes in the top right corner.

Important: Path Format in Site.com Studio

The paths in Site.com Studio are always relative to the site's custom URL. You must remove the /s prefix from both the source and destination paths, because /s is implied by the platform.
For the example above, configure the following redirect rules in Site.com Studio for Site 1:
