Ratkaisu

You can add a date or reminder to your document or spreadsheet using the @mention and can customize the format by country.

Add a Date or Reminder

You can set your date by using the @ key [shift+2]. Using this feature allows you to set dates you need for deadlines to meet or perhaps even set dates to remind you of your deadlines. It’s very simple!

Add a date:

  1. Type @Date and click the insert button or enter.
  2. Choose your desired date from the calendar and it will appear on your document highlighted in blue.

Add a reminder:

  1. Type @Reminder and click the insert button or enter.
    1. You can also convert an @date to a reminder by checking the Remind me box
  2. Choose your desired date from the calendar and the date will appear with a little alarm bell next to it.

What’s great about this feature is that you will receive a notification to remind you of the approaching day as the color will change from blue to orange. There’s a simpler way you can remind yourself of these dates by using @reminder to select your desired date. You will noticed that when you select a date, the Remind me check box will already be selected.

Pro Tip: You can set reminders for your teammates too! Just include them via an @mention on the same paragraph or row and you’ll all get a notification.

Date Formatting

Document and Spreadsheet Specific Date Format

Adjust the date format to the country of your choice at the document level by clicking on Document, hover your cursor over Advanced and select Change Date Formatting.

Once you’ve selected that, a box will appear on your screen prompting you to select your desired Country to adjust your date format. After selecting your desired Country, click Done and all dates entered afterwards will be formatted according to the new Country’s format.

Account Wide Date Settings

If you’re interested in adjusting the date format to the timezone of your choice at the account level you can easily set that up through your profile settings.

  1. Click on your Icon on the side bar
  2. Select Profile and Status
  3. When your profile appears on your screen, click Date Formatting
  4. Choose your desired country and click Done

Once you’ve selected your preferred country for Date Formatting, your account will then be adjusted to the date and time of your chosen country. All new documents created by you will default to this date format.

Custom Date and Time Formatting

In spreadsheets, you can set a custom date and time format (including the ISO 8601 standard!) to whichever format works best for you and your team.

  1. Select a range of cells
  2. Click the More Formats dropdown in the toolbar
  3. Select More Formats...
  4. Choose your desired format from the list of common formats. You can also select components yourself by typing “@” or clicking on the dropdown.
  5. Click Apply and the format will be applied to the range of selected cells
