Some customers have reported seeing a new "All Tabs" standard app in their Salesforce org that is assigned to all profiles. All Salesforce organizations and users have this app by default. It is usually shown as the All Tabs ('+') option in the navigation bar in Lightning Experience, or as the All Items menu on the Lightning App Launcher.
The All Tabs app honors the user's existing tab visibility settings and is functionally equivalent to the All Tabs ('+') option in Salesforce Classic and the All Items menu in Lightning Experience.
The All Tabs standard app appearing in all profiles is expected behavior in Salesforce.
Sandbox Migration Error
If this app was created in a Sandbox org but not in Production, the following error may appear when attempting to migrate a profile update via change sets or metadata deployment:
Error: In field: application – no CustomApplication named standard_AllTabSet found
Note: "standard_AllTabSet" is the internal API name for the All Tabs standard app in Salesforce.
Workaround
To resolve this error and suppress the All Tabs app from appearing in profile visibility, edit the affected profiles and remove visibility from the All Tabs app before retrying the migration.
