Risoluzione

This article explains how to troubleshoot Salesforce Maps layer and folder access issues for Experience Cloud site users, and what permissions and settings need to be in place.

Step 1: Assign the Right Permissions

Follow the Assign Permission Sets article to understand and assign the correct permissions to Experience Cloud site users.

Step 2: Check Organization-Wide Defaults

If Experience Cloud site users still can't access the layers after assigning the right permission set, check your sharing settings:

  • From Setup, enter Sharing Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Sharing Settings.
  • Click Edit in the Organization-Wide Defaults area.
  • For each Maps object, set the default access for external users to Public Read/Write.

Step 3: Enable Routing Role Security and Folder Permissions

Enable Routing Role Security and Folder Permissions from the Maps Settings page:

  • From Setup, enter Install Packages in the Quick Find box, then select Install Packages.
  • Click Configure for Salesforce Maps.
  • From the Settings - General tab:
    • Enable Routing Role Security: When Routing Role Security is enabled, Salesforce Maps uses your existing role hierarchy to restrict visibility into other users' route calendars. When this feature is disabled, users can view, create, and assign routes to other users' calendars.
    • Enable Folder Permissions: When this checkbox is unchecked, all users can see all folders in the corporate area. Checking Folder Permissions ensures Salesforce Maps follows all folder permissions set in the Folder Permissions article.

Note: Make sure the layers are present in the corporate folder so Experience Cloud site users are able to access them.
