Welcome to Salesforce Maps Live! This guide will provide detailed instructions for System Administrators responsible for installing and configuring Salesforce Maps Live, and users leveraging Salesforce Maps Live to visualize the live and historical locations of vehicles, equipment, and users in the field.

Important: Live Tracking in the Salesforce Maps mobile app is scheduled for retirement by August 31, 2026. For more information, see Salesforce Maps Live Mobile Retirement.

Creating Salesforce Maps Live Records, Base Objects, and Layers

Configuring Salesforce Maps Live Daily Summaries

The links below will explain how to configure Daily Summaries in Salesforce Maps Live. Daily Summary Configurations allow Salesforce Maps users to choose a group of Assets, define business-critical events like Stops and Speeding incidents, and automatically generate a list of events for each Asset every day. Users can also configure Stop Associations to tie Stop events to relevant Salesforce records and maintain better visibility into their field operations.

 

Visualizing Salesforce Maps Live Assets and Events

The links below will explain display the historical location and travel of the Asset, plus the locations of any Stop, Speeding, and Safety Events captured by the Asset's IoT Device for a desired date range. They will also describe how to manage Stop Associations generated by Salesforce Maps Live and ensure that they are accurate and comprehensive.
