Salesforce Field Service Mobile App Version 226 Retirement

Date de publication: Apr 12, 2025
Description

What changed? How does this change impact my org?

As an admin of a Salesforce org using the Salesforce Field Service mobile app, we wanted to notify you that users no longer be able to log in to any Salesforce Field Service mobile app version 226 or below on iOS and Android after February 1, 2023. Users should update the Salesforce Field Service mobile app to version 228 or higher on iOS and Android.

What action did I need to take?

You should encourage your users to update to a recent version of the Salesforce Field Service mobile app of version 228 or higher as soon as possible. The newest versions contain the latest features and bug fixes. No additional purchase is required.

Most users will already be on the latest app version if they have automatic updates turned on from the App Store or Google Play and will not be affected by this change. If desired, you can use mobile device management (MDM) or mobile app management (MAM) to block users from accessing old app versions. You can set a minimum app version of 228 to force end-users to upgrade.

What happens if I don’t take action?

If your users continue to use an app version 226 or below, they will get an error message when they try to log in. Users will need to update their version to use the app.

How can you identify users that were impacted?

Customers with MDM can go through their provider to track app versions and set minimum versions.

Otherwise, if users report trouble logging in, ask them to download the latest version of the Salesforce mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Salesforce does not provide a way for customers to see which of their users are on which app versions.
