Journey Builder Goal Calculation

Udgivelsesdato: Aug 25, 2023
Beskrivelse
There are two different locations where Journey Builder Goal Performance is listed. On the Journeys Dashboard screen you will see a bar underneath the total number of entries displaying Goal Performance. If you hover over the bar, you will see another calculation that includes a total number of contacts that met goal as well as the percentage relative to the number of entries in the journey. You will see this same data in the Journey Health tile of a particular journey.

Calculation - Total People

Goal Performance Percentage Value = [Total Number of Contacts that met Criteria] divided by [Goal Number of People to Meet Criteria] multiplied by 100

Example: I set a goal criteria to read "I want 10 total people to (enter custom text)". In my Journey, there will be 25 contacts that get injected. After activating my journey, 15 contacts met criteria. When reviewing my Goal Performance, I should see 150%. This is calculated by taking the 15 contacts that met criteria and dividing it by the 10 contacts we set as our goal, and multiplying by 100 to get a percentage. When hovering over the goal performance, I should see the total count show 15 contacts, and 60%. The 60% is based on the number of contacts that met criteria (15) divided by the total number of contacts that entered the journey (25) multiplied by 100 to get a percentage.

Calculation - % of the Population

Goal Performance Percentage Value = [Total Number of Contacts that Met Criteria] divided by ( [Percentage of People We Want to Meet Goal] multiplied by [Total Number of Contacts in Journey] (Rounding to the nearest whole number) ) multiplied by 100

Example: I set a goal criteria to read "I want 10% of the population to (enter custom text)". In my Journey, there will be 25 contacts that get injected. After activating my journey, 5 contacts met criteria. When reviewing my Goal Performance, I should see 167%. This is calculated by taking the 0.1 (10%) and multiplying it by the total number of contacts injected (25). When rounding to the nearest whole number, that gives us 3. We take the 5 contacts that met goal criteria and divide it by 3 (the rounded number based off the percentage you configured in your Goal), and multiplying by 100 to get a percentage. When hovering over the goal performance, I should see the total count show 5 contacts, and 20%. The 20% is based on the number of contacts that met criteria (5) divided by the total number of contacts that entered the journey (25) and multiplying by 100 to get a percentage.
