Reconnect to External Data Source in Quip

How to reconnect the external data source for Quip on the user level.

Solución
Oftentimes connection issues can be due to external data source connection disruptions.

To reconnect your user account to the Quip External Data Source, follow the steps below:
  1. Log into Quip
  2. Click on the Quip profile icon in the bottom Left Corner
  3. Select the Salesforce tab
  4. Select Disconnect from the connected Salesforce Org
  5. Log into Salesforce
  6. Click on your avatar (top right)
  7. Select Settings
  8. Click Authentication Settings for External Systems
  9. Select Del to delete the Quip External Data Source
  10. Refresh the Salesforce Page
  11. Click on the Blue Banner at the top of the page showing Take the Last Step
If you do not see the Blue Banner at the top of the page after refreshing, use these steps to Authenticate: 
  1. Click on the App Launcher (a.k.a the waffle or 9 Dots) and search for Files
  2. Choose Quip and select Connect
  3. Refresh and select Quip again
  4. A set of folders will appear & the connection is complete
External data source connection disruptions can be caused when:
  • Site admin changes API key
  • Salesforce org is refreshed
  • Integration setup went awry
