This is Part 2 of the Quip–Salesforce provisioning guide. After completing Part 1 (installing the managed package and assigning permission sets), Part 2 covers domain configuration to control which users join your Quip site, configuring SSO if applicable, and adding the Quip Document Component to your Salesforce record pages. Complete Part 1 before starting these steps.
Add your corporate email domain as a trusted domain so users who sign up with your company email are automatically directed to your Quip site:
https://[yoursite].quip.com/adminyourcompany.com) and click AddFor organizations using Salesforce as their identity provider, configure SSO so users log in to Quip with their Salesforce credentials:
If you are not using SSO, Quip's built-in MFA handles authentication for direct logins automatically.
For automated user management, configure SCIM so your identity provider automatically creates and deactivates Quip accounts based on directory changes. See How to Integrate SCIM with Quip for Automated User Provisioning for instructions.
Add the Quip Document Component to the Salesforce record pages where you want users to create and collaborate on documents:
See The Quip Document Component for Salesforce for detailed component configuration instructions.
After completing all steps, validate the integration end-to-end:
