List View Auto-Refresh Behavior When Saving Records in Lightning Experience (Table View vs. Split View)

Fecha de publicación: Apr 2, 2026
Descripción

In Lightning Experience Console, list views may or may not refresh after a record is modified, depending on how the record is opened.

The behavior is influenced by whether you are using Table view or Split View.

  • Table view (Split View collapsed): List refreshes automatically
  • Split View (expanded): List does not refresh automatically

Understanding this behavior helps control whether updates appear immediately or require manual refresh.

Solución

List view refresh behavior depends on how the record is accessed and the current display mode.

To Automatically Refresh the List View

  1. Set Display As to Table
  2. Open the record from the Table view
  3. Make changes to the record
  4. Click Save

Result:

  • The list view refreshes automatically after saving

To Require Manual Refresh

  1. Set Display As to Split View
  2. Open the record from the Split View panel
  3. Make changes to the record
  4. Click Save

Result:

  • The list view does not refresh automatically
  • You must manually refresh to see updates

Additional Notes

  • If behavior does not change immediately, refresh the browser tab after switching display modes
  • Behavior applies specifically to Lightning Experience Console
