There is no documented limit on the total number of files and attachments. Organizations are subject to data and file storage limits based on overall size.

Organizations can create an unlimited number of files and attachments as long as the combined size of all files stays within the organization's allocated storage limits. For example, you could upload 1 million small attachments if their combined size stays within your storage limits.

This limit applies to attachments uploaded directly to record related lists, not Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Content, which has a maximum of 30,000,000 files.
