Increase the Maximum Number of Files Attachable to Salesforce Feed Posts in Lightning Experience

Julkaisupäivä: Apr 22, 2026
Kuvaus

This article explains how to request an increase to the maximum number of files that can be attached simultaneously to a Feed post in Lightning Experience. In Lightning Experience, files uploaded or attached through the Files or Attachments Related List, Feed posts, or the File Upload Flow Screen Input Component are limited to 10 at a time. In Salesforce Classic, you can attach more than 10 files simultaneously.

When sharing project documentation or compliance materials with your team via Chatter, you may need to attach more than 10 files at once.

Attaching more than 10 files at once in Lightning Experience results in the error: "Too many files selected: Attach up to 10 files."

Available Editions

How To Increase

Submit a limit increase request with Salesforce Support

Notes

  • This limit does not apply to the number of files allowed when using the Contact Support Form component available in Experience Sites. This component uses a non-configurable hard-coded limit of 10 files and can't be increased.
  • Increasing this limit does not affect the maximum number of file attachments on emails from a feed post (Email-to-Case) and is only limited to 10.
  • The Maximum Limit: 25 is the hard-coded limit both for uploads through the Files and Attachments Related List and cannot be further increased.
