Partner Address and/or Name change, Mergers, Acquisitions

Audience: ISV Partners, Consulting Partners, Cloud Resellers, MSP.

Any Salesforce Partner going through a merger & acquisition (including transfer of Partner Applications), legal name change or an address change should log a Case via Partner Community by following the steps below. 

Note:
Due to complexity and the nature of changes needed, we request that authorized users create a Case via Partner Community.
Please note that the completion of the requested update typically takes [ 2-4 ] weeks. It may be further delayed depending on the complexity of the case, including for example, requirement of due diligence screening or additional agreements.

Accessing the Partner Community and Logging a Case:

For Existing Partners

1. Log in to Partner Community: 

2. Log a case in the Partner Community by following these steps:

  • Once in the Partner Community, click the “?” icon in the top right corner
  • Select “Log a Case for Help”
  • Create a Case
  • Subject [Indicate whichever is applicable]: Merger & Acquisition/Partner Application Transfer, Legal Name change or Address change
  • Description: Provide a summary of the request
    • Note: ISV Partners logging a case must fill out Entity Change Intake Form and attach it as a PDF file to the Partner Community Case. Partners can either download and complete this Entity Change Intake Form directly or submit a Google Form, which will send a PDF copy of the completed form in an automatic email confirmation. In any case, the Partner must upload the final PDF to their Partner Community case to ensure the request is officially recorded and processed.
  • Select Product & Topic: Partner Community & Appexchange-Partner Community Support

*For Fulfillment Resellers who do not have access to Partner Community, please reach out to the A&C Business Concierge team to request a name change.


For New Partners

1. Sign Up for Partner Community:

  • New partners who do not have access to the Partner Community will need to sign up first.
  • Here is the Partner Community Registration Guide
  • Please ensure you sign up with the Legal entity name and corporate address with which you will execute a partnership agreement.

2. If you encounter issues signing up the Partner Community, you can send an Email:

  • Send an email to partnercommunitysupport@salesforce.com to log a case
  • Mention “Partner Program Support” as the case topic in your email to Salesforce Help
  • In your email description, please include XYZ details.... merger, acquisition, etc.
    • Email Subject: Address Change/Name Change/Merger/Acquisition [Whichever scenario is applicable]
    • Email Body: Please describe the scenario in order to route the email to the right team
