Expiration Period of Password Resets and Email Verification Links

These time limits are security features designed to protect your Salesforce org. Password reset links expire after 24 hours to prevent unauthorized access if the email is intercepted.

Email verification links expire after 72 hours to ensure timely validation of email address changes.

Note:

• The password reset link expiration is different from the password expiration set in Password Policies. The latter pertains to the period before the password set in an account expires.
• It is not possible to modify the expiration period of these links as they are hard-coded into the platform.
