To resolve OAuth connection issues:

  1. Ensure you are not logged into multiple Salesforce orgs
    • Try using incognito mode when making the connection
  2. Confirm you are not being IP blocked
    • Check the login history of the user being used to make the connection
    • This may be caused by profile-level IP restrictions or org-level allowlisting (previously called whitelisting)
  3. You may need to enable direct access to the Connected App due to org Security settings. If the OAuth error appears after attempting to log in:
    • In the Salesforce org being connected, go to Setup > Connected Apps OAuth Usage
    • If blocked, unblock and install the Connected App:
      • Data Cloud Salesforce Org Registration, Datorama, etc.
    • Configure the following settings:
      • Set OAuth Policies to "Admin approved users are pre-authorized"
      • Set IP Relaxation to "Relax IP Restrictions"
      • Under Refresh Token Policy, select "Immediately expire refresh token"
    • Assign the app to a profile or permission set applied to the user establishing the connection

Following these instructions will resolve most causes of the error. If you continue to experience issues, please contact Data 360 Support.
