Data 360: Sandbox Refresh Causes Disruption to Established CRM Connection

公開日: Dec 4, 2025
説明

Please note that the experience below is working as designed. We are currently working on long term UX and architecture improvements to see if the customer experience can be improved.

When a CRM sandbox org is refreshed, it disrupts the established connection to Data 360. All Data Streams that use the CRM sandbox org as a data source will go into an Error state. If a Data 360 Architect attempts to disconnect the CRM sandbox org from Data 360, they will receive an error message and will not be able to disconnect the org.

When a CRM sandbox org is refreshed, the refresh process will cause a change in OrgId for that sandbox org. It will also delete the previously established permission set used to authenticate the sandbox org to Data 360 (outlined below). This causes the authentication between the CRM sandbox org and Data 360 to break.

解決策

The following steps are currently recommended to avoid this issue.
Important: these steps must be taken before a CRM sandbox org is refreshed.

  1. Delete any Data Streams that use the CRM sandbox org as their source (documentation). You may also need to delete other downstream dependencies, such as data mappings or segment attributes, in order to delete their Data Streams.
  2. After all Data Streams have been deleted, a Data 360 Architect can go to Data 360 Setup > Salesforce CRM Connector and disconnect the CRM sandbox org (documentation).
  3. Refresh the CRM sandbox org.
  4. After the CRM sandbox org refresh is completed, you must recreate the external org user permission set required to connect the CRM sandbox org to Data 360 (documentation).
  5. After the external org user permission set has been created, reconnect the CRM sandbox org to Data 360 (documentation) and recreate your Data Streams. You may also need to recreate the object and field permissions within that CRM sandbox org (documentation).

If you wish to preserve your Data Stream configurations, we recommend creating a Data Kit for the CRM Data Streams that would be deleted.  After you have deleted these Data Streams, you can install the Data Kit and use them to redeploy the Data Streams.
