Prerequisites for Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) Configuration

During initial implementation of Visual Remote Assistance (VRA) admins need to make sure they have the correct licenses as supplied via their account executives as well as created the proper permission sets containing the appropriate custom permission for accessing the Visual Remote Assistance - Config Visualforce page.

During initial setup and implementation of Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) customers need to have the following:

Required Licenses

  • An org with either Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) Enterprise Edition or Unlimited Edition licenses 
  • An org with Field Service & Operation licenses

Admins need to provide themselves with ‌Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) licenses or Field Service & Operation licenses as well as a Visual Remote Assistant licenses. 

Required Permission Set Configuration

Lastly, prior to accessing the Visual Remote Assistant - Configuration page admins need to create a perm set that includes the custom permission tspa.Remote Expert perm and assign it to themselves or anyone accessing the Visual Remote Assistant configuration page. 

Error: You Do Not Have the Required License

If the permission set containing the tspa.Remote Expert custom permission has not been assigned to the admin, the following error appears when accessing the Visual Remote Assistance Configuration page:

'You do not have the required license. Please contact your System administrator.'

To resolve this, create a permission set that includes the tspa.Remote Expert custom permission and assign it to the relevant admin user.
