Remote Sites Requirement for Salesforce Maps

Salesforce Maps functionality requires that Admin must activate all the below remote sites. Without these sites activated, users can experience problems with plotting markers, time based proximity boundaries, optimizing routes and schedules, searching for points of interest, and creating records with Click2Create.

Salesforce Maps relies on several third-party mapping services and Salesforce's own mapping infrastructure. Each remote site listed below must be active for the corresponding feature to work correctly.

In Setup, go to the remote site settings, you'll find all the above settings have been added and may be listed as inactive. Activate settings using the below steps:

  1. From Salesforce Setup, enter Remote Site Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Remote Site Settings.
  2. Select the remote site setting
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select Active.
  5. Save and repeat the steps for all the above-listed remote sites.
