A catalog or any other import job that fails. The log file is showing: [ERROR] Internal fatal error.  Details:  ErrorMsg=Import aborted: Unable to lock global resources.

Description : A catalog or any other import job that fails. The log file is showing: [ERROR] Internal fatal error.  Details:  ErrorMsg=Import aborted: Unable to lock global resources. 
 

Environment :

Probable Cause : Another thread is holding the lock for the resource that should be imported.

Check the error logs of the instance at the same time as the other error. If you are seeing the error "Unable to lock global resources [domain_deletion]", then probably one of the following operations is running in parallel to the job or workflow.
  • Replication
  • Site Impex
  • System Cleanup jobs


Resolution : The easiest way to remove this lock is to restart the impacted instance. Connect to the Control Center and perform a restart.
