If you have more than one Data Set in your Salesforce Visit Plan, you can order them by priority. Think of Prioritization as suggestions to the Advanced Routes algorithm about which records are most important. You are able to prioritize records by creating multiple data sets and positioning them on the priority table. Example: Type “A” Accounts should be prioritized over Type “B” Accounts.
This resolution walks through how to prioritize Data Sets in a Salesforce Maps Advanced Visit Plan, so the Advanced Routes algorithm knows which records matter most.
Have at least two existing Data Sets in your Visit Plan: Create a Data Set
On the Maps Advanced Visit Plan configuration page, navigate to Prioritize Data Sets.
In order to prioritize your Data Sets, you must have two or more Data Sets created within your Visit Plan. Each Data Set should be filtered so as to segment your Routable records by a field that indicates priority.
For example, if you have a field called "Tier" on your Retail Store Routable Object, you could create three Data Sets, each filtered to only include records with Tier equal to 1, 2, or 3, respectively.
Tip: You can clone an existing Data Set by clicking the three vertical dots next to the Data Set and selecting clone.
To begin prioritizing Data Sets, simply click on a Data Set box and drag it up or down.
To set two Data Sets as the same priority, drag the second Data Set alongside the one that should have the same priority.
