Define Visit Plan Settings in Salesforce Maps Advanced

게시 일자: Sep 1, 2026
상세 설명

The Define Visit Plan Settings section of a Salesforce Maps Advanced Visit Plan lets you control the route planning period, how many routes to include in each optimization, and how often route optimization runs during that planning period.

Configuring these settings correctly keeps field reps working from up-to-date routes throughout the planning window.

솔루션

This article explains how to configure the Define Visit Plan Settings section of a Salesforce Maps Advanced Visit Plan. Correctly configuring these settings determines how frequently routes are optimized and the overall planning window for your field team. If these settings are not defined, route batches may not generate on the expected schedule, causing field reps to work from outdated routes.

Set the Visit Plan Timeframe

  1. On the Maps Advanced Visit Plan configuration page, navigate to Define Visit Plan Settings.
  2. Under the Visit Plan Timeframes section, select a Visit Plan Start Date. This is the first date for the route planning period.
  3. Select a Visit Plan End Date. This is the last date for the route planning period.
    • Note: The planning period cannot exceed 4 months in length.
  4. By checking the Restart Visit Plan After its End Date box, once the Visit Plan End Date has passed, the Visit Plan resets to a new planning period of the same length.
    • Example: A Visit Plan set for 90 days will, at the end of the planning period, reset and begin a new 90-day period.

Set the Number of Routes to Include in Optimizations

  1. Under Number of Routes to Include in Optimizations, set the number of weeks or months worth of routes to be generated during each optimization.
    • Note: A single optimization cannot exceed 3 months of routes.

Schedule Optimization Batches

  1. Under the Schedule Optimization Batches section, check the Schedule Optimization Batches checkbox to set the batch frequency.
  2. Set the Frequency (number of weeks), Time, and specific Days the regular optimization should occur.
  3. Click Next.
