Generate routes for a single user assigned to Maps Advanced Visit plan

Prerequisites

• The user has been assigned the SF Maps Advanced permission set.
• The user has been assigned the Salesforce Maps Advanced permission set license.
• The user is assigned to a Maps Advanced Visit Plan.
• The user has the View Setup and Configuration system permission.

Route Generation

1. From the App Launcher, navigate to the Maps Advanced Route tab and click the Plan My Visits button to begin the route generation process.
2. Select the date from which you would like the route generation to begin, then click Plan.
   • Optionally, select the current day and select a starting location to generate routes starting from the current date and time. Click Plan.
3. The Plan My Visits button will change to Generating Routes throughout the duration of the route optimization process.
4. Select Cancel from the Generating Routes button to cancel the route optimization process.
5. Once the route generation process has been completed, you can check to see if any errors occurred at the top-left of the Maps Advanced Route calendar.
   • Click See Details to understand what caused the error to occur.

Accessing Generated Routes

• From the Salesforce Maps application, routes can be accessed from either the Routes or Schedule tabs.
