Lead Capture for Sales Cloud Installation Error

Installing the new version of Lead Capture for Sales Cloud while the Legacy package is still present will cause an installation error for new Hyperforce Lead Capture package.

Below is an example of the error:

"Lead capture: duplicate value found: <unknown> duplicates value on record with id: <unknown>"

The duplication error caveat only pertains to Lead Capture for Sales Cloud, as the Lead Capture for Marketing Cloud you can install the new package while maintaining the Legacy package at the same time.

To install the new Hyperforce version of Lead Capture successfully, follow the steps provided below.

To note, clients will not be able to install the new Lead Capture application while the Legacy version is still present. 


If you have a large number of lead tasks and would need help to migrate to your Hyperforce version, please follow the steps below.
 

  • File a support case requesting that the Legacy Lead Capture Tasks to be migrated to the new Hyperforce version.
    • Note: The request to migrate will take 5-7 business days to complete.
  • Once Support has confirmed that the migration of Lead Tasks has been completed, uninstall the Legacy Lead Capture application.
  • Install the new Hyperforce Lead Capture application for your instance.
  • Once successfully installed, you may see failed leads within your tasks, use the Retry Failed Leads button to pull in any missing leads during the transition.
    • Note: If you find that your tasks are Active, then it means that no new leads came in during the update and are functioning as expected.


Last day to be able to request the migration of Lead Tasks is July 13th 2022. Retirement of the Legacy package of Lead Capture is still scheduled for July 15th 2022.
