Cannot Delete Tasks with Cadence Subtypes in Sales Engagement

Publiseringsdato: Jul 3, 2026
Beskrivelse

When the Sales Engagement (formerly High Velocity Sales) feature is disabled in your org, deleting Tasks with Cadence subtypes may result in one of the following errors:

"Cannot query with all access"

OR

"You can't delete sales cadence tasks when Sales Engagement is turned off. These tasks update automatically as targets advance through the sales cadence."

Sales Engagement manages automated sales sequences called Cadences. Tasks created as part of a Cadence have a special subtype that ties them to the Cadence engine. When the Sales Engagement license is disabled in your org, these Cadence-linked Tasks cannot be deleted because the system cannot process the subtype validation without the feature being active.

Løsning

The only way to delete a Task throwing one of these errors such as "Cannot query with all access" is by re-enabling the Sales Engagement feature.

Why Re-Enabling Is Required

Cadence-linked Tasks are managed by the Sales Engagement automation engine. When Sales Engagement is disabled, the system cannot process the Cadence subtype validation required to delete these Tasks.

Re-enabling Sales Engagement allows the system to process and delete these Tasks normally. After deletion, the feature can be disabled again if no longer needed.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Contact your Account Executive (AE) and request temporary provisioning to re-enable the Sales Engagement license.

  2. Once Sales Engagement has been re-enabled, delete the Tasks with Cadence subtypes.

  3. After the Tasks are deleted, the feature can be disabled again if it is no longer needed.
