When a SFI / Vlocity managed package is into a production org a license record is generated with a default “seat count”. This number can be adjusted up or down based on the number of users specified in the customer contract. This can only be done after the customer has installed the package in Production (license seats are not required in Sandbox).
Please contact your Account Executive if necessary to adjust license seat count or expiration date of the managed package installed in your Production org. Once licenses have been added to a Production org each user will need to have a license assigned in order to use package functionality. Licenses can be assigned to users directly, for community users licenses can be assigned automatically using a workflow as described in product documentation - https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.v_admin_assign_vlocity_licenses_to_users_automatically_25013.htm&type=5
Sandbox orgs come with a site license by default, user licenses are not required for SFI / Vlocity Managed Packages installed in Sandbox orgs.
