Outbound call made via Sales Dialer shows "Potential Fraud" or "Potential Spam" on the receiver's end

Publish Date: Apr 3, 2026
Description

Some end users report that when they call their contacts, prospects, or clients, the receiving end shows the caller as "Potential Fraud" or "Potential Spam".

This issue is not within Salesforce's scope of support because a call being tagged as spam is controlled by the receiver's provider.

Resolution
The receiver of the call can reach out to their carrier to check the settings of their line to not set any spam alert if a number is unknown or any number can reach them without tagging the carrier as spam.

As we have no way of preventing a phone number from showing as spam or receiving spam calls at this time, an administrator can release the current phone number being used by your account, which allows you to then assign a new phone number.
