The home screen allows you to look at the most recent and relevant Datasets and Alignments, identify Alignments waiting for approval, get Dataset and Alignment details at a glance and track a timeline of changes in a central location. Plus, the home screen supports Salesforce accessibility standards.

Home Tab:

  1. Navigation Tabs: You can navigate between different views(Home, Datasets, and Alignments) using these tabs.
  2. Pending Approvals: This section shows any Alignments that are pending approvals for approvers or Alignments that a user has submitted approval for non-approvers. Note: This requires Alignment approval to be enabled
  3. Recently Viewed Alignments: Shows the six most recently viewed Alignments and a screenshot of the user’s last view (if available). You can create Alignments from this card as well. Clicking the dropdown will reveal actions that a user can take on an Alignment depending on their level of access. You can click on View All Alignments link to get the list of all Alignments you have access to.
  4. Recently Viewed Datasets: Shows the six most recently viewed Datasets. You can create Datasets from this card as well. Clicking the dropdown will reveal actions that a user can take on a Dataset depending on their level of access. You can click on View All Datasets link to get the list of all Datasets you have access to.
  5. Resources: This section allows you to quickly get help. The Trailblazer community contains additional links to different help topics.
  6. History & Comments: Shows the history and comments for Alignments that the user has access to. You can even choose to view history for a specific type of activity by selecting the required Activity Type from the dropdown.


Dataset List View:

This is a custom List view component for Datasets.
  1. You cannot customize or sort this component but you can search for a particular Dataset from the search bar in the top right.
  2. By default, the List view will show  “All Datasets” which allows you to see All, Active, or Archived Datasets. You can choose to view only Active or Archived Datasets by changing the view to  “Active Datasets” or  “Archived Datasets” respectively.
  3. Clicking the dropdown next to a Dataset will reveal additional actions.
  4. Clicking the Dataset name will open the details page for that Dataset.
  • Dataset Details Header: This is a custom page with the Dataset details. You can perform different actions like Adding an Alignment, Editing, Sharing, Cloning, or Archiving a Dataset using the buttons available in this section.
  • Dataset Details: Gives information about the Dataset and related Alignments. Clicking the Alignments tab will allow you to see all the Alignments that you have access to for a given Dataset.
  • Data Sources: Gives information about the reports or queries used to create a Dataset.
  • Boundaries: Gives information about the Territory Boundary selected while creating the Dataset including the version of the boundaries.


Alignments List View:

This is a custom list view component for Alignments.
  1. You cannot customize or sort this component but you are able to search for a particular Alignment from the search bar in the top right.
  2. By default, the List view will show  “All Alignments” which allows you to see All, Active, or Archived Alignments. You can choose to view only Active or Archived Alignments by changing the view to  “Active Alignments” or  “Archived Alignments” respectively.
  3. You can create a new Alignment by clicking on the Create button in the top right. You can also toggle to the card view using the List view controls.
  4. You can open the alignment by clicking the Open button on the right-hand side or clicking the dropdown for more actions.
  5. Clicking the Alignment name will open the details page for that Alignment.
  • Alignment Details Header: This is a custom page with the Alignment details. You can perform different actions like Edit, Share, Analyze and Compare, Clone, or Delete an Alignment using the buttons available in this section.
  • Alignment Details: Gives information about the alignment and a larger screenshot.
  • History & Comments: Shows the History and Comments components but scoped to the specific alignment.
