This article explains how to edit an existing Lightning Email Template in Salesforce Lightning Experience. Lightning Email Templates allow users to create reusable, formatted email content for use in sales outreach, case replies, and automated communications. To edit a Lightning Email Template in Salesforce Lightning Experience, follow the steps below. These steps apply to any existing template visible in the Email Templates app.

Steps to Edit a Lightning Email Template

  1. Click the App Launcher icon (grid icon in the top-left corner of Salesforce).
  2. In the Search apps and items field, type Email Templates and click it from the results.
  3. Select the email template you want to edit.
  4. On the top-right corner of the template, click Edit.
  5. Apply your desired changes to the subject, body, or merge fields.
  6. Click Save.
