Salesforce CPQ Price Rule limitations on Formula usage

Description
When Price Rules in Salesforce CPQ have an Evaluation Scope set to Configurator and the Target Object is Product Option, Price Action Formula and Price Condition Tested Formula fields are unsupported. The following scenario highlights the settings that encounter this limitation:

Price Rule:
Evaluation Scope = Configurator
Conditions Met = All
Active = True
Configurator Evaluation Event = Edit
 
Price Action:
Target Object = Product Option
Target Field = SBQQ__Quantity__c
Formula: 5
 
In the scenario above, the Price Action Formula field does not update the Quantity of the Product Option to 5. Given the same Price Rule settings, a Price Condition targeting the Product Option object does not evaluate correctly when using the Tested Formula field. 
Résolution

This is currently a product limitation in Salesforce CPQ.
