Cause

In cases where we are dealing with a large number of records within secondary objects, the cleanup job can fail since the deletion is not batched by default. For example, if a large number of alignments are being deleted, the number of comments or areas may exceed DML (Data Manipulation Language) governor limits. Alternatively if multiple alignments with large number of areas are being deleted, we may encounter the same issue.

This issue requires assistance from Salesforce Support to enable a custom setting on your org.

Please contact our Support team by creating a case with Salesforce Support. Salesforce Support can enable a custom setting that causes secondary object records (such as comments and areas) to be deleted as part of the batch job rather than at its conclusion. This prevents the deletion process from exceeding Salesforce governor limits when processing large volumes of records.
