Enable and Troubleshoot Pipeline Inspection in Salesforce

Notes:

• This feature is available in Summer '21 production organizations. To activate the feature in sandboxes, run the Match Production License tool or request a sandbox refresh to copy the feature on the sandbox. To Enable Pipeline Inspection:

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Pipeline Inspection, then select Pipeline Inspection Setup.

2. Turn on Pipeline Inspection.

3. Verify that historical trending is enabled and configured for opportunities. The fields required for Pipeline Inspection features are trended by default, including the Next Step field.

4. Add the Pipeline Inspection button to the Opportunity tab.
   
   

Note:
When you turn on Pipeline Inspection, historical trending is enabled for opportunities if it’s not already enabled.
If you use a custom field to summarize metrics, it must also be configured in historical trending.

If Pipeline Inspection is Not Available:

• This can occur in Unlimited or Performance Edition orgs updated to Summer '21 where the feature is not yet enabled.

• Available only in Lightning Experience, with Sales Cloud in Performance and Unlimited Editions.

Steps to Resolve:

1. Go to Setup.

2. In the Quick Find box, enter Pipeline Inspection.

3. Check the suggested results to confirm the feature status.

4. If the feature is not available:

   • Contact your Account Executive.

   • The feature is provisioned manually and must be reprovisioned.
