Grant Login Access to Salesforce Backup and Restore Team

Salesforce Support Engineer may ask you to provide login access to Backup & Restore License Management App to troubleshoot and fix issues stemming from your inquiry. You must grant access to them and specify a duration for that access.

Grant login access to LMA and Support is required for investigation and troubleshooting.

The best practice is to grant login access to these two areas for 30 days.

Steps to grant login access to LMA or the Backup & Restore support are as follows:

Step 1. Grant support access to the LMA

In Lightning Experience

  • Log in, at the upper right, click your image (avatar) and then click Settings.
  • In the Quick Find box, enter Grant then click Grant Account Login Access.
  • At Grant Access To, select Salesforce BAR LMA Support
  • Click Save.


In Salesforce Classic

  • Log in, at the upper right, click My Settings (or click your name, then click My Settings)
  • In the Quick Find box, enter Grant then click Grant Login Access.
  • At Grant Access To, select Salesforce BAR LMA Support
  • Click Save.


Step 2. Grant support login access to the Org
Grant Salesforce Support login access to your organization

Note: Salesforce BAR LMA access can be viewed in the Setup Audit Trail for confirmation.

 

Salesforce will never proactively ask for your login credentials or request access to your Salesforce instance by email or phone. If you receive a suspicious message or call claiming to be from Salesforce, please report it immediately at security.salesforce.com/contact.
