Document Formatting Options within Quip

Within Documents, you can bold, italicize, underline, indent and strikethrough text, as well as choose from four different-sized headers or three types of lists (bullets, numbers or checklist). You can also format your text as a pull quote, block quote or code block. 

We are continually working on adding additional formatting options. However, the formatting options will always be somewhat limited (re: you won't find 18 different bulleted list types or font sizes).

 
Existing, built-in style/design is not customizable e.g. font size or color used for H1 cannot be changed. You can manually overwrite and apply a different color to the H1 texts as an alternative. 

This is a conscious design choice, as part of an emphasis on simplicity and on enabling you to create documents that look beautiful and consistent on any device.
