Quip supports left, center, and right text alignment for paragraphs, headings, and table cells. This article explains how to apply text alignment using the toolbar and keyboard shortcuts, and notes how alignment is handled when exporting documents to PDF or Word.
To change the alignment of a paragraph, heading, or table cell:

Example: A sales rep creates a presentation-style document and centers the title at the top, while keeping the body paragraphs left-aligned for readability. She also right-aligns a price in a summary table to match the numeric formatting convention used in finance documents.
Text alignment in table cells is set per cell. Select the cell (or multiple cells) and apply alignment the same way as for paragraphs. Alignment applied to a cell affects all text within that cell.
Text in Quip documents is left-aligned by default. This is the standard and recommended alignment for body text as it provides the best readability for long-form content.
