Restrictions on the Salesforce B2C Commerce short term loaner realms for load testing

When customers rent short term loaner realms for load testing on the B2C Commerce platform, please note the following restrictions:

• Loaner realms have the "loaner" prefix for internal tracking & management. It is not possible to change the loaner prefix.
• Populating data and code into loaner realm is customer's responsibility using standard site export/import options available in Business Manager.
• Loaner realms do not support Analytics such as Einstein and Reports & Dashboards enabled.
• Loaner realms do not come with embedded Content Delivery Network (eCDN).
• Loaner realms do not allow custom SSL certificates or custom hostnames.
• Salesforce Commerce API (SCAPI) shortcodes cannot be generated on loaner realms.
• Loaner realms do not support Dynamic Imaging Service (DIS).
• Short term loaner realms do not allow Sites set to be Online (Live).
• 2 Factor Authentication for code uploads is not available on loaner realms. If you need to upload the code and are being restricted, please reach out to the Commerce Cloud B2C Support team for assistance.
• Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) through Account Manager is not currently supported on loaner realms. Kindly note that this is different from your regular production realm where MFA is mandatory. The impact of this difference is outlined below:
  • Since MFA is mandatory for all Production realms and is not supported on loaner realms, if you perform the site import from the Production realm into your loaner realm and when you log into the loaner realm post site import, you will be prompted with a login screen requiring Account Manager authentication. 
  • To get the loaner realm to pre import settings, please reach out to Commerce Cloud B2C Support team to reset the loaner realm to the pre site import settings.
