Some components of the Ad Studio product are moving to Amazon Web Services

Описание

Beginning early 2023, some components of the Advertising Studio services will be hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

What’s changing and why?

Today, the Advertising Studio product is provided using services hosted on the ExactTarget platform, together with ancillary services hosted in the ExactTarget Atlanta data center. These ancillary services include the admin-facing user interface for the app and the Journey Builder Advertising activities. No consumer contact data such as customer email addresses or hashed email addresses is stored or used by these ancillary services.

With the change, which we target to happen in January 2023, these ancillary services are hosted on Hyperforce, the Salesforce cloud platform that uses Amazon Web Services.

This change supports scale and reliability goals and affects all Advertising Studio customers.

What action do I take?

No action is required, and this change is not expected to create disruptions. And it’s not necessary to re-create audiences or journeys after the transition is complete.

Q&A

Q: Must I re-create audiences or journeys after this transition is complete?

A: No action is required, and the changes are seamless.

Q: What if I don’t want to use services hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)?

A: To avoid using Advertising Studio after the ancillary services are migrated to Hyperforce, go to Advertising Studio/Administration and delete all active Ad Accounts. Optionally, you can delete all audiences, and you can change or delete journeys that use the Advertising activities.
