On March 31, 2023, Cisco is sunsetting Webex Events (classic). Because the Webex connector for Account Engagement supports only Events (classic), the connector is being retired on April 1, 2023.
After the connector is retired, it’s no longer available to add to the Connectors page. If you have an existing connector, it’s deleted from your business unit. Existing automations continue to operate based on historical webinar data, but they can’t be updated. Prospect activities associated with the connector remain intact on the prospect record. But webinar reporting isn’t accessible after the connector is removed.
No. If you need a Webex connector, use Marketing App Extensions to develop a custom integration that meets your needs. If you prefer a ready-made connector, many webinar services have native integrations with Account Engagement.
No, there are no required steps for you to take, and your existing automations continue to function. We do recommend that you consider removing automations that rely on the Webex data because you can’t update them after the connector is retired. We also recommend that you back up webinar reports in Account Engagement for your reference.
