Error 'Slack: duplicate value found' when installing Slack

Users might receive an error when trying to install Slack to their Salesforce organization. The errors indicate that there is a duplicate value found with an unknown id. This error occurs when the Slack connected app is installed when the package is attempting to create a 2nd connected app.Here are two error examples:

'Slack: duplicate value found: <unknown> duplicates value on record with id: <unknown' 

'(Slack) duplicate value found: duplicates value on record with id:'
Ratkaisu
To resolve these errors, locate and remove the existing 'Slack' Connected App.
 
  1. From Setup, enter App Manager in the Quick Find box and click the result.
  2. Locate the 'Slack' connected app in the apps list, click the dropdown to the right and select View.
  3. Click Delete, and click Delete again.
