When using Marketing Cloud Connect's Connected App Authentication methods, the 'Enforce login IP ranges on every request' setting can potentially cause either intermittent or complete connection failures. This can be seen in the Login History for a Salesforce user experiencing connection issues.
Lösning

To have successful authentication, ensure to add all IP Addresses in the IP Ranges for Marketing Cloud Connect to each Profile that is using the Marketing Cloud Connect Connected App, in addition to the IP Allow list for the Org.
