CRM Analytics Marketing Cloud OAuth 2.0 Integration Only Retrieves Classic Email Content, Not Content Builder Assets.

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Oauth 2.0 only retrieves classic Content in Email Object. Content Builder Email assets cannot be retrieved through this integration. 

This integration utilizes SOAP Api and Content Builder assets are only accessible via REST Api. 

Users may observe the Email Object in the CRM Analytics Data Manager show zero and not error when synchronizing. If the integrated Marketing Cloud Engagement account only has Content Builder Email assets the this is expected behavior. 
Résolution

This is an architectural limitation. The Marketing Cloud OAuth 2.0 integration in CRM Analytics uses SOAP API to retrieve data. Content Builder Email assets are only accessible via REST API. Because these are two different API protocols, the existing integration cannot retrieve Content Builder content. To include Content Builder assets in your CRM Analytics data, a separate REST API-based extraction process must be implemented outside of the standard connector.
