USER PERMISSIONS NEEDED
To create, edit, and delete reports:

Legacy Folder Sharing
Create and Customize Reports
AND
Report Builder
 
Enhanced Folder Sharing
           Create and Customize Reports
            AND
            Report Builder
 
PROFILE PERMISSION NEEDED
Enable access to Analytics app: Navigation
Setup | Profiles | Open your Profile | Object Settings |Analytics | Edit | Make it Default On | Hit Save
 

To create a new report:
App Launcher | Analytics | Create | Choose between Report, Dashboard, or Folder 
 

  1. From the Reports tab, click New Report.
  2. Select the report type for the report, and click Create.
  3. Customize your report, then save or run it.


If using the Unified Analytics Home:
Setup | Reports and Dashboards Settings | Check "Enable the Unified Experience for Analytics Home" | Save
